Recommended Resource: Help Me Teach the Bible

Have you ever wished you could knock on the door of a brilliant and experienced Bible teacher to ask him or her your questions? Especially when I’m preparing to teach a passage and feel like I’m missing something, I’ve been known to daydream of transporting into someone’s office who can help me see the line of thought I’m blind to.

Enter: Help Me Teach the Bible

One of the offices I’d visit is Nancy Guthrie’s. If you came to our Fall Verity Fellowship Conference last month, you know that she is a gifted Bible teacher in her own right. She’s also an avid learner who is seeking to understand books of the Bible even better. So she, sponsored in partnership with the Gospel Coalition and Crossway, decided to interview some of the best Bible teachers today about how they teach. So far, I have eaten up the episodes that have given me new insight into familiar books of the Bible.

I access the audio recordings on the podcast app on my iPhone, but you can also find it online here.

Are you teaching through a book of the Bible? Don’t have time to read the entire commentary before you start? Listening to one of these men who wrote a commentary may help you get the themes, big picture, and insights you need as you prepare to teach. Blessings on your ministry labor!

Our series on Recommended Resources will highlight the speaker-suggested books from our Fall 2015 Conference as well as other publications helpful for ministry.
