Have you ever wished that a couple Bible and theology professors would create helpful, brief videos on each book of the Bible or on Bible themes? Well, perhaps you never envisioned such a useful tool. Yet, for our benefit, those professors and those videos do exist. You should check out: The Bible Project.

The Bible Project is the work of a two professors at Western Seminary and a creative communications entrepreneur. This non-profit produces animated videos for themes running through the Bible, tying together the overarching story of the book. (Remember our discussion of Biblical Theology at our conference and our blog posts about biblical themes?) They are also creating a video for each book of the Bible to help you see the structure, so that you know what to look for as your study it.   As an added benefit, who doesn’t learn better through narrated animation?

I know several have asked how they can learn to express the story of the Bible. These videos are a great place to start. Check out this one on Heaven and Earth:

There are several more you can watch on their website, but you should also look at their project for 2016. Finally, have you thought about how you’re going to read the Bible in the coming year? The Bible Project has an idea—read the Bible and use their videos to help you. It looks like a great plan to me.
